What a fabulous weekend!
Julia arrived on Thursday night to celebrate the big 2-5! Thursday night lead to the beginning of a weekend of delicious food, that night we went to Travinia Italian Kitchen and had an Italian feast. We started out with lobster ravioli and each of us had a chicken and pasta dish. If you are in the area I highly recommend this location--good food and it isn't too expensive. We stayed up late catching up and reminiscing about the good old high school days.
Friday we had a day of pampering...after lunch we headed out for a mani/pedi before a night out in Cola. For dinner we went out to the Vista and had a yummy tapas meal at Gervais and Vine . Julia even got me to try some cheese dishes and didn't get too upset with me for my dislike in foods with feta cheese crumples. After that we headed out for a night on the town...we found it really funny because we felt like the oldest people in every bar we went to. Perhaps it is the fact we both just turned 25 and were feeling old :)
On Saturday, I took Julia to explore campus. It was a pretty nice day, but a little overcast. It was a perfect afternoon for a movie...we went to see It's Complicated and it was hysterical. At times I felt like the random person laughing at things that really weren't that funny. To celebrate Julia's last night in Columbia, we went to Solstice War Bar for a lite dinner and drinks. Another place I highly recommend, who am I kidding...I recommend everyplace we ate ate this weekend.
This morning we woke up and drove to the airport. It was really sad to see Julia go, I felt like it had been ages since we were last together. Now all I can think of is planning a visit up to Baltimore...hopefully later this spring!
Now off to get things together for a productive week!
